Purpose

It's time to edit your essay again but this time the focus will be on sentence structure and punctuation. One way to improve your sentence structure is to use parallelism, which means giving equal weight to similar phrases or clauses that share the same grammatical structure. The purpose of this learning challenge is to:

  • Introduce you to parallelism.
  • Improve the impact of your essay by ensuring your sentences are properly constructed.
  • Help you learn how to use parallelism.
