DESIGN AND TEXTILES TECHNOLOGY 11F (Full Year) - TXT11F
TEACHER IN CHARGE: Mrs Archer
Year 9 and 10 Design and Textiles Technology would be an advantage but not essential.
Students complete one major unit of work that encompasses several achievement standards. Each student is required to purchase/supple appropriate materials to complete this unit. This includes fabric, patterns, thread and notions.
Students demonstrate their understanding of design elements and use this to produce garments suitable for specific situations. Basic pattern adaptations are used to ensure garments produced fit the person for who they are intended. A portfolio of work is produced to support the practical components of this subject.
19 Level 1 credits are available through 4 achievement standards – 3 credits externally assessed.
$30.00 plus materials
This course aims to provide a grounding in important skills and knowledge that will prepare students for 21F & 31F Design and Textile Technology as well as future courses at tertiary training centres.
