This course assumes you already have a basic familiarity with word-processing. If you need an introduction to word-processing, you might consider starting with our course on Text Processing Skills.

While the instructions are specifically tailored for Microsoft Word, the process is easily applicable to other software tools such as Open Office, which includes a free and open source word-processing applications.
