Narrated PowerPoints can be used to give a lesson on how a task is to be performed. We have discussed how to Identify resources appropriate to build required skills and knowledge earlier in this course. We also talked about turning text into information.

The first step in creating a narrated PowerPoint is to develop the PowerPoint. The second step is to create your script or a list of key points that you will use when doing the voice over for your PowerPoint. Keep it simple and use the same 'voice' that you would use if working alongside someone that you are trying to teach a new skill to.

You can now narrate and record your voice directly in PowerPoint or you can use a free screen casting tool such as screencast-o-matic or record yourself presenting in Zoom.

This short video from Microsoft explains how to create a narrated PowerPoint.
