Under this topic we shall treat the following:Linear programming models,Graphical method of solving LP models of two variables,Converting inequalities to equalities using slack variables,Application of Gauss Jordan’s method to systems of equations,Simplex method of solving LP models of more than two variables, The primal and the dual, Sensitivity analysis, Dual prices

Weeks 4 & 5:Transportation Problems

Under this topic we shall treat the following:Transportation models, Algorithm for solving transportation problems, Least cost first rule, Vogel’s Approximation Method (VAM, Least time transportation problems

Weeks 6 & 7:Assignment Problems

The folloing sub-topics will be treated: Assignment models, Algorithm for solving assignment problems, Least cost first rule

Weeks 8 & 9: Network Analysis

The following sub-topics will be covered:Network diagrams, Critical Path Analysis/Method (CM/CPA),Project evaluation Review Technique(PERT)

Weeks 10 & 11: Waiting-Line System

The following sub-topics will be covered:Characteristics of waiting-line system, Arrivals to the system, Queue discipline, Service facility, Queuing models, Single-channel queuing model, Multiple-channel queuing model, Constant service time queuing model, Limited population queuing model

Weeks 12 & 13:Inventory control

The following sub-topics will be covered:Terminologies for Inventory models, Inventory models, EOQ , Quantity discount model, Production quantity model
