Cause and effect

Before going any further, read "Cause and Effect" from Writing for Success from Saylor Academy. The same book has a sample cause and effect essay for you to read.

You can also take a look at the following video on Youtube, from Khan Academy which provides you with examples and definitions for cause and effect.

Now that you have read this article and looked at the video prepare a blog post of approximately 400 words where you use the knowledge you acquired from the readings in the previous sections to answer the following:

  1. Would cause and effect work with your essay topic?
  2. Can you identify places, especially in your sub-points (identified earlier in this microcourse), where cause and effect might fit?

Remember to tag (Wordpress) or label (Blogger) your blog post using the course tag: enga102

Note that you can also record your reflections in a written journal, if you prefer, but sharing your insights with your classmates means that you can trigger a discussion that may lead to a deeper understanding as we can all benefit from each others experience.
