Hi Eddie, welcome to WikiEducator.

Fine that you are caring for rural and poor communities! WikiEd is a project that hopes to one day serve especially disadvantaged groups in developing countries, so you are exactly right here with us!

My name is Günther, I’m a secondary school teacher in Germany. If you have questions or need help, please drop me a note at the discussion page related to my user page. And if you want an introduction to WikiEd, read this article of mine. Hope to hear from you soon! Günther--White Eagle 12:58, 6 June 2007 (CEST)

Main Issue

Hi Kennedy, I've read your sentence "I have joined wikiEducator with an idea of expanding the space of content development and contextualization so that people in the developing world can also have contextually and culturally relevant contents online."

Wow, this is in my opinion the main issue WikiEd has to solve! Of course we can upload content, but what is the use of it, if the content is not relevant. But what is relevant educational content for countries like Kenya? In primary and secondary education? Could you give me some examples? I've always seen people in non-industrialized countries are simply using reprinted textbooks from industrialized countries. So they don't really fit the local needs! But what are local needs in Kenya? Greetings from Germany, Günther--White Eagle 09:43, 15 June 2007 (CEST)
