Wikieducator is a new web tool for me. I am fortunate to be here at this workshop because what i learn will really help me with my job. I am a curriculum developer, writing materials for the Solomon Islands Primary school social studies. Using this web to get quality information which has the view of the world is really amazing. Now i can put in my contributions and also learn from other people's ideas.

Hi am Ellen Wairiu from the Solomon Islands (SI). Am Married with 3 chn. I am working for the Ministry of Education (SI), in the Curriculum development centre department. I was a primary school teacher for 9 years (1991 - 2000) before joining the Curriculum team from 2001 to 2004. Early 2005 i left for studies (BED) in the University of Waikato, NZ for 3 years. I came back last year November 2007 and joined the curriculum team again on the 4th of February 2008. Now am working as the Principal curriculum Officer, developing Social studies for the Primary schools. This is part of the huge curriculum reform for all the subjects in the Solomon Islands school system.
