Coordinator (English) at the Institute of Distance & Open Learning, University of Gauhati, Assam, India. We're quite new to this field but also, the leading pioneers in the region. Not only do we need to spread the privileges of higher education but also to ensure that it provides qualitative advantages over older modes of formal, face-to-face teaching methods. ODL systems perhaps can lead us to solutions for problems which beset our older system of education.
