Hi. I'm a sec school teacher in ESOL sector - mainly adults - at Papanui High School, Christchurch, NZ. Recently I've been doing some research at Canterbury University into adults' ability to hear new languages - we all know children pick languages up so quickly. My research is trialling training to expand adults subconscious resources - so that they can hear what is being said by having more in the memory bank, so to speak. (Procedural memory). It's very exciting.

Learning languages is a particularly rich and open field for digital developments - I'm hoping to learn some more at the wikieducator workshop!

Cheers Ciao Tschuess and a bientot! Sue
