'Profile'

Dr Subhash Chandra Diyundi obtained his D Phil Degree on Molecular Phylogeny of Fresh water fishes (mtDNA cytochrome b DNA marker). He has the distinction of registering first ever DNA fingerprints of Freshwater fishes from India in the NCBI GenBank, USA. He was associated for seven years with the laboratory of Prof Lalji Singh, FASc FNA, Former Director CCMB, Hyderabad, a premiere Institute of the Country as a CSIR- Research Fellow and subsequently DST-Post Doctoral Fellow and has extensive work experience in the field of Molecular Biology (molecular Phylogeny, Genetic diversity of Human populations and Endangered species, DNA forensics, Molecular basis of diseases). He has publications in national, High impact factor International journals.

Presently he is working as Assistant Professor at School of Biosciences, Apeejay Stya University, Sohna, Gurgaon, Haryana. He has set up Molecular Biology laboratory at this newly established school of University. He has been appointed Supervisor of a DBT –Research Associateship Project (Dept of Biotechnology Govt of India- IISc Research Program, 2011- 2013.He has also given the additional responsibility as the charge of School coordinator at ASU.
