ITC: The Good, the Bad, the Ugly
The importance of being familiar with ITC cannot be over emphasised. Ignorance lead to all sorts of abuse: cyber bullying; web pornography; fraudulent activities; money laundering. Giving your employee carte blanche in the IT dept while you remain ignorant, is like giving the keys to your safe to the next criminal.
Using technology under the guise of developing one's children, is not necessarily good or useful. Recently released independent studies which have been undertaken over the past 20 years, have proven that playing with dirt, physically reading a book, playing with block or other toys, reading stories to your child; have definite benefits in the spatial development of your child. Leaving them to explore Oma-G (Google) or any other search engine, could result in stunted development in terms of critical thinking, reasoning and interpretation of simple challenges.
