The Department of Computer Science, Deen Dayal Upadhyay College, Delhi University has been organizing its various activities under the banner of Aryabhat Science Forum (ASF) in collaboration with Physics and Electronics Department. Considering the long pending persistent demand of the students of the department of having their own forum, the Department decided to start its own society, and 21stFebruary 2009 marked the inception of “SANGANIKA”, the Computer Science Society of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, University of Delhi.

The society aims to bring out the innovative and creative side of the members of the society. For this we plan to organize academically enriching events like Workshops, Seminars, Training programmes on latest Techonologies. Besides this we also intend to start various computer related competitions like quiz, Web Page Designing, Debugging the given programmes, on the spot program writing and LAN Gaming. The society comprises of all the faculty members, supporting staff and students in the Department of Computer Science with Dr. Arpita Sharma as its first Coordinator. The society‘s inauguration was done by cutting a cake in front of all the members. Since we were almost at the end of the academic session we decided to organize a day-long picnic at the Tilyar Resort in Rohtak, Haryana, to meet informally and plan for the future activities of the society. The trip left some memorable moments in the minds of members and energized them for the next session.
