- 1 Becoming a man of value is important than a man of scucess
- 1.1 MY PROFILEI am currently working as Academic Officer(Sociology) in National Institute of Open Schooling(NIOS),Ministry of HRD. Govt. of India .Apart from my regular assignments of development of curriculum and text books in Sociology, I am also engaged in research project entitled “A study on factors affecting Enrolment of Different Subjects of NIOS” sponsored by Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. I would particularly welcome the opportunity to offer my expertise and experience that lies at the heart and confluence of both sociology and education. Having the experience and expertise in both sociology and education from my early academic years, I have the greater advantage to focus and reflect on wide range of theme such as state of childhood to the fate of aged, health and human rights and culture of groups and individuals in the community settings to culture and structure of schooling in India. But my preferences for academics and research widely centered upon advocacy for welfare and development of excluded groups and communities in India. Coupled with, I am also privileged to have exposure to many short-term engagements with various national and international organization in the area of research, evaluation and monitoring services in multiple sectors such as health, education, child protection and Indigenous Knowledge system etc. I would be happy to write and reflect on wide range of themes and utilize my potent for the wider benefit of the deprived communities in particular and wider use of world humanity as a whole.
