O.K. Here it goes.  a sandbox!

sandbox

I love sand boxes.  There is something theraputic about sandbox play.  For example, once I started out playing with my kids at the beach.  It was a standard castle.  but then it sort on morphed into the Great wall of china,  and then that morphed into a Olymipic message for the (then) upcoming games is China.   It is was great to see how the 'project' grew and changed.  Hmmm there are alot of similarities to the whole wiki sphere!

Sand Box Philosophy

  1. The value in  sand box creation is the process not the  end product  (Errant waves or wandering toddlers will decimate any thing you create faster the the plunge of the stock market)
  2.  Anything that you make will be subject to modification by others.  ( Unless you 'stand guard' and fight off all challengers, it will be changed. Besides it takes to much energy to defend.)
  3. When someone wants to help… let them.  (Oh sure you can give them some ground rules, or your ideas and visons of your sand strucure, but they may not follow.)
  4. It's more fun when more join in.  ( Amazing ideas are generated when two or more minds collaborate.)
  5. Share your knowledge and tools.  (newbie doesn't have a shovel?  Lend one or take turns.)
