My name is Ruth Gibendi.
Education
I am currently pursuing Master of Philosophy in Information Sciences at Moi University.
My research interests include knowledge management particularly of scholarly works emanating from Africa. I wish to find out how and why scholars from Africa manage their digital grey literature in forms like conference papers, inaugural lectures, seminar papers, working papers and other scholarly resources. This is of urgency deemed that Africa is not well represented in the global output of information resources.
I also have research interests in the area of Social Entrepreneurship, particularly in librarianship. Why are rural libraries in Africa not sustainable? Could social entrepreneurship be used to create sustainable rural information kiosks that can address the information needs of the community?
