I am on the faculty of the Physics Department of Acharya Narendra Dev College, an undergraduate college of the University of Delhi.
I come from a metropolitan background, born and brought up in Delhi. I completed my Ph.D from Delhi University in 2007. My research interest is in the field of Semiconductor Device Modeling and Simulation. I am involved in developing analytical models and carrying out simulation studies for nanoscale devices which are required to address the critical issues of miniaturization and improved device performance.
I am passionate about teaching and I consider my classrooms to be my workshops. Besides teaching, I also have a keen interest in research and at present I am involved in various projects with my research group.
An all round development of the students' personalities is very important, therefore, I believe that besides academics, stress should also be given on the co-curricular activities. I am a member of the Sports committee and the Environment Society of Acharya Narendra Dev College. I am also a member of the Physics Society, "Physentropy" of ANDC and have been actively involved in organizing the society functions.
I was introduced to the Wikieducator through a workshop, "WikiEd 08" conducted at Acharya Narendra Dev College. I strongly believe in the concept of open education resources and free learning and hope to contribute to this in whatever way I can.
Hobbies
I am passionate about music and like listening to classical, semi classical and light music. I basically enjoy all genres. I am also fond of ghazals and old Hindi numbers. I enjoy reading and love thrillers. I also like reading non-fiction works. Travelling and watching movies are a few other things that I enjoy.
