Specialization : Ancient Indian History
Teaching Experience - Joined Delhi University as an adhoc lecturer in August,1981.Have been working as a permanent lecturer at SOL since July,1986 after serving as a temporary lecturer for over four years in Maitreyi College , Delhi University.
Interests
I joined St. Stephen"s college in 1975, the year it went coeducational.I was the first captain of St. Stephen"s college Women Basketball team.A sportsperson at heart,I am also fond of Music and Travelling.
Academic Achievements:
- Spent two years in Sofia University ,Bulgaria on a fellowship.
- .Have been teaching a paper on "Buddhist Art and Architecture" of M.A. Final for over a decade
- .Have supervised Phd students in the Department of Buddhist Studies.
- Have written a book on ["The Early History of Gold in India" ]
Languages known: I have a working knowledge of English, Hindi,Bulgarian and Russian.
