My name is Patricia Benn and I live in a small island in the eastern Caribbean Sea called Antigua. This island is 108 square miles and has a population of about 70,000. The main industry here is tourism, and the island has 365 beaches, one for every day of the year.
My husband, Ian, and I live in a new residential area in the north eastern section of the island, only five minutes away from my home town and from the sea. Having been born close to the sea, and having a father who loves the sea and everything associated with it - swimming, boating, fishing and seafood – it is little wonder that I too enjoy the sea.
Currently, I work at the Antigua State College
