## Professional background

I have been with SUNY Empire State College since 2001 teaching business and marketing. I have been with International Programs since 2006 teaching in Prague, Lebanon, Dominican Republic and Panama. Prior to ESC I worked as an engineer for General Electric.

## Education

I hold a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Union College, Schenectady, NY and am currently a PhD candidate at UAlbany in the Educational Theory and Practice Department. My area of research is women and STEM.

## My interests

My professional areas of interest include using cloud computing to create greater access and student engagement. I am also interested in creating collaborations with other instructors/universities using these tools.

### Professional

I have presented several times on the use of cloud computing and video conferencing to connect students and instructors across the globe. The farthest away from home I traveled to present was in 2010 at the International Conference on Emerging eLearning Technologies and Applications in Slovakia. The farthest away from home I traveled to teach is Turkey.

### Personal

In my "free" time I like to cycle, run and swim. I have completed several triathlons and an Ironman. I hope to compete again when I finish my PhD and have more time : )

### My optional community service (learning contract) project

 Agreement By signing this optional learning contract I will try to complete my training in basic wiki editing skills to achieve the status of a Wikibuddy. In return for this free training opportunity, I will give the gift of knowledge by donating or developing at least one free content resource licensed under a CC-BY-SA or CC-BY license which can be used by myself (and others) on WikiEducator. Brief description of project We are working on an interdisciplinary course related to Latin American. We would like to use this space to develop the learning modules for this course. Learning will include business, science, and literacy.
