SOUNDS OF ENGLISH
There are 26 letter in English.these26 letters make 44 sounds.in english sound system 44 sounds are there.these souns are called phonems.Phoneme is a smalest unit of sound in the sound system.Out of the 44 hponems 20 are vowel sounds 24 are consonent sounds.
What is a vowel? Sounds whioch produce with out any obstruction in mouth.
What is aconsonent? Sounds which produce with abstructon in mouth.
