THE DEATH OF MANDELA

It was sad to hear the passing on of Nelson Rholihlahla Mandela -a-Madiba. This was really sad for me because I did not expect him to die at his age. However, this was the time that our Almighty God chose for this giant son of Africa. I have cherished the ideals of Madiba from the time I got to know about them when I read his autobiography "A Long Walk to Freedom."

Primary Education

Not that I wanted an English name for my parents were illiterate to come up with one at the time of my birth. I have since that time thought hard on his ideals and 'parroted' some of them....one of which is selflessness.

College

I identified myself with this great man who had sacrificed his life for humanity...I identified myself with his name and called myself Nelson.
