A Masters Degree in Education from University of Birmingham UK, specializing in Inclusion and Special Educational Needs.

Experience

Teacher for twenty-two years: taught children at all level: at the pre school, primary, Post Primary and secondary levels in different islands in the Caribbean and in England. At the Post Primary and secondary level, I taught in the Mathematics, Science, Needle Work and Learning Support Departments. During the years of teaching she has been a netball coach, teacher responsible for netball, a department head and member of the management Team.

I am working at the Curriculum Development Unit as the Learning Support Coordinator in the Ministry of Education with responsibility for

  • Adopting curriculum to meet the needs of students with Learning difficulties
  • Training teachers to implement the curriculum
  • Monitoring the curriculum
