PERSONAL INFORMATION
My name is Krishna Nand Prasad. I am a citizen of Guyana.
I am 60 years old.
I am employed by the Ministry of Education in Guyana as Senior Mathematics Subject Specialist at NCERD (National Centre for Educational Resource Development).
Prior to my appointment at NCERD, I taught from 1969 - 1971 in primary schools in Guyana. From 1975 to 1991, I taught in a secondary school in Guyana. From 1991- 1996, I taught in a Senior Secondary School in Jamaica.
I functioned as a lecturer in Mathematics for over four years at the Cyril Potter College of Education, a training institution for teachers in Guyana.
I have been involved in a wide range of activities related to training and retraining of teachers, including preparation of resource materials, as a member of staff of NCERD.
My areas of interest are mathematics, poetry, Bible Study and reading in general.
ABOUT GUYANA
Guyana is in South America. Its neighbours are Brazil, Suriname and Brazil.
The peoples of Guyana are Africans, East Indians, Portuguese,Amerindians,Europeans,Chinese, and mixed races.
Visitors are welcome to Guyana. Why? Well, the country is quite attractive,especially with respect to its wildlife and interior attractions.
