Introduction
Opening should be an attention getter . Include brief overview of the topic. Never apologize during your opening remarks. This is the heart of your presentation Develop your theme, present your ideas, data and convince the audience. Use Seven Cs of good writing. For informative presentation you could use chronological pattern, Spatial pattern, Causal order, topical pattern. Conclusion
Summarize. Conclusion should be as strong as the introduction. Never conclude with thank you for your attention.
Support your ideas Listeners require assertions that are backed by proof. Use Statistics, Analogies, Fables, Expert testimony, Anecdotes.
Visual Aids These are tools to remember details. Text visuals No more than six lines Maximum six words per line. Typed in large clear type. Allow time to read. Graphic Visuals Simplify graphics and use headings
