Comments on WE training

Before the WE training I had no idea of what WE is all about. However, after the first session of the first day of training I have learnt a lot about WE and how it will greatly contribute to the improvement of teaching and learning resources for education.

How will WE assist my work?

I personally think WE is a really good tool to be used by not only educators or teachers in the development of learning resources but also by other people in developing policies and procedures amongst other many important stuff.

The work of the Samoa Qualifications Authority(SQA) in developing policies and procedures for carrying out its mandatory functions have been done mainly through face to face consultations and meetings. I have no problem with that but it is just that most of stakeholders do not have time to meet face to face. Now with WE it presents another medium of getting contribution and support from stakeholders.

SQA is the 'new kid on the block' in terms of Quality Assurance and all that is involved. Online discussions on various areas of education on WE gives SQA another location on the web for research on areas that are not fully developed in Samoa.

All in all I am looking forward to utilizing WE for Personal and Professional Development.
