I had a bright academic career of 34 years of teaching in higher and distance education since 1979 in various colleges and University. Presently I am Head of the department of History and Indian culture and Tradition and Director (Cultural and Games) and coordinator: Woman cell in V.M. Open University. Her research interests are history (ancient), Vedic studies, Culture, Tourism, Environment, and Distance education. My doctoral degree is on, “Political and Legal Ideas in select – smritis (Manu, Yajnavlakya, Narad, Brihaspati, katyayana)” she had also conducted a detailed Research Survey on the needs and problems of distance learners. She has taste of writing poetry and prose in Hindi and English. I am actively associated with cultural activities of University. I have attended many national and international conferences both in country and abroad. Several of my papers presented have been published in national and international journals and conference proceedings. As sole and co-author my 10 books have been published. I am a member of IHC, RHC, IDEA, A AOU etc. I have organised and coordinated several training camps of tourism studies, lectures, workshops, and cultural and literary activities in the University.
