stopover there after the OERu founder meeting Nov. 2011
I am living and working in New England in North America at a college in Manchester, New Hampshire. This is despite being originally from Old(e) England where I was born and raised in Newcastle (as in Brown Ale / United), and went to college in Manchester, Lancashire (as in The Smiths and New Order)...
My Role at Southern New Hampshire University
My current title at SNHU (Southern New Hampshire University) is within the SNHU Innovation Lab where I am the Leader for Learning and Development. Our mission in this newly formed section / division? is to develop programs and systems that increase access for under-served populations, while looking to disrupt and "blow up" (President Paul LeBlanc's words) the very system that spawned us. As you can imagine, we are much loved at traditional faculty socials and curriculum committee meetings !!
Joking aside, our challenge is extremely motivating. I have maintained a blog record of what we've been doing and what we've acheived on my personal blog kevinbell.wordpress.com The main page of my blog tends to be more my random musings, but the Innovation Lab link takes you to notes that latterly have referred to our partnering work with The Urban League of Boston and our application for Gates Next Gen IIIB grant funding. We will hear back from Gates ("Bill, can I call you back..") early-mid March as to whether we make the first cut and get through to the playoffs.
Practicing for the Day 5 tutorial:
- This link was created to an external page by typing the url: http://www.nufc.com
- and here's a link to my personal blog created using the link icon in Rich Editor mode
- and one created by viewing the wikitext and cut and pasting the code, to the SNHU website
INTERNAL WIKIEDUCATOR LINKS
I find that I most often visit the following WIkiEducator pages:
- The Planning index page
- The Project Prototype planning page
- The meeting notes page
- and as of this last couple of weeks! The Learning4Content home page
||By signing this optional learning contract I will try to complete my training in basic wiki editing skills to achieve the status of a Wikibuddy. In return for this free training opportunity, I will give the gift of knowledge by donating or developing a workshop OER4Ed licensed under a CC-BY-SA or CC-BY license which can be used by myself (and others) on WikiEducator.|
