I have strong interests in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (particularly in Competency-Based Education and Training), Information Communication Technology (ICT), e-learning and Information Management System.

I am a member of the Seychelles Qualifications Authority Board (SQA). I am also a member of the Technical Support group which has been formed to assist the nascent SQA until its structure if fully operational and its staff has been trained. I have worked in education for the last 27 years, more specifically in technical and vocational education. I have been an instructor, a head of post-secondary institution (Industrial Training Centre), and I am now the Coordinator for Technical and Vocational Education in the Technical and Further Education Division. I have long been involved in curriculum development and I am now primarily responsible for coordinating the competency-based programme review in the post-secondary institutions. I have served on the Validation Board of the Polytechnic. In 2000 I was part of the committee that was set up to develop the concept of an NQF for Seychelles and to draft legislation. I was also part of the group that developed proposal for a Post-Secondary Education and Training Framework (PSETF). I formed part of the committee which drafted the legislation to set up the SQA.

My country, the Seychelles consists of 115 granite and coral islands and is 4 and 10 degrees south of the equator and on the east coast of Africa in the western Indian Ocean. The Seychelles is a member of both the Francophone and the Commonwealth communities.

I am happy to be involved in the VUSSC initiative.
