Objectives

At the end of this lesson students should be able to:

  • understand specific body movements with regards to walking.
  • apply the knowledge and examine the principle related to the topic.
  • appreciate and value the principle related to the topic by applying the acquired knowledge correctly.

Introduction

Teacher to give instruction and demonstrate warm up and stretching activity and introduce the lesson while the students listen andd follow the teachers instruction.

Lesson Development One

Forward Walking

  • Teacher to instruct the students to walk tall forward and back in a designated area.
  • Teacher to instruct the students to walk short forward and back in a designated area.
  • Teacher to instruct the students to walk forward and back in a slow motion manner.
  • Students to follow the teachers instruction accordingly.

Lesson Development Two

Backward Walking

  • Teacher to instruct the students to walk tall backward in a forward manner and return also in a backward manner.
  • Teacher to instruct students to walk short in a backward manner forward and back.
  • Teacher to instruct and demonstrate to the class to walk backward in a slow motion manner forward and back.
  • Students to follow the instruction carefully.

Lesson Development Three

  • Teacher to instruct students to walk tall sideways in an adequate space.
  • Teacher to instruct students to walk short in a sideways manner in an adequate space.
  • Teacher to instruct students to walk sideways in a slow motion manner in a adequater space.
  • Students to follow teachers instruction accordingly.

Lesson Development Four

  • Teacher to demonstrate and students to imitate the teachers demonstration of walking like a cat, monkey e.t.c.
  • Students to imitate the teachers action.

Conclusion

Teacher to revise the lesson with the students by asking question relevant to the lesson.Instruct and demonstrate cool down for the class.The class to follow the teacher closely.
