Greetings,
My name is Jenny Ankenbauer and I am an ELL Adult Educator working in Ankara Turkey. I have 30+ years experience as an educator in Pre-kindergarten through college level. I have taught in both the face-to-face and online environments. I have earned several post Bachelors degrees including: Early
Childhood Education, Adult Education and most recently, Masters of Online Teaching.
My most recent work in instructional design has been with Houston Community College developing online course materials for distance educators. I have several years experience working with pre-service teachers seeking teacher certification in Early Childhood, Child Care and K-8 Education.
I recently relocated from the US to Turkey. My current position is working with an NGO in Ankara Turkey providing English Language Training for women. I created a blended or hybrid course format, which means that some of the student work will be completed via asynchronous participation of threaded discussion board. I have uploaded the storyboard for the course for those who are interested in viewing one method of writing curriculum for online courses. See link to file below signature.

Lastly, I am midway through a graduate level certificate in ESL language offered at the University of Illinois.www.illinois.edu It is an exciting opportunity to find OER as I am beginning my new professional challenge as an ESL instructor.
