Bush clad hills full of tui, kereru, kowhai, mahoe, punga, nikau and a decreasing number of possums, are home to around 60 households that coexist in a unique community. The inhabitants of the gully and bay look across the harbour to the lights of Wellington. Within the bay writers, artists, retirees, company executives, teachers, florists, hairdressers, builders, taxi drivers, CEOs, auctioneers, counsellors, lawyers, environmental activists and potters live and work.
