Target
- students who have sucessfully passed 7th class.
- Students between the age group 12-13 year.
General Objectives
After reading this material, you should be able to
- develop scientific attitude, and
- develop economic utility of flowering plant.
Specfic Objectives
The student will be able to:-
- describe the flower,
- enlist name of flower parts and
- describe functions of flower parts.

INTRODUCTION
- Flower is the most important part of a plant.
- It helps in reproduction.
Content-I
- A plant consists of three parts;viz,root, stem and leaves.
- In plants leaves gets modified into flower.
SAQ-I
- How many parts of a plant do have?
- Name these parts.
Content-II
- The reproductive organ of a plant is called flower .
- It consists of four whorls; viz., sepal, petal, androecium and gynoecium.
- practical demonstration on flower through video conferencing.
