SNAP Gippsland is a Community Managed Mental Health Services that delivers based psychiatric disability rehabilitation and recovery programs to adults with a mental health problem, The service was established in 1992 and has service outlets in the Shires of East Gippsland, Wellington, South Gippslands and Bass Coast with service outlets in Bairnsdale, Sale, and Leongatha. SNAP delivers a range of home-based outreach support (HBOS), planned respite, and day program services that are recovery oriented and meet the individual needs of its clients. In addition SNAP manages the bed-based Gippsland Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) service located in Bairnsdale in collaboration with Latrobe Regional Hospital-Mental Health Services.
