What is a Book Review
The overall aim of this session is to provide activities in order to guide the learner on how to do a Book Review using knowledge gained from the previous section on the topic Elements of Story.
Objectives
You are expected to complete the following:
- Define Book Review;
- Recall knowledge gained by revising the elements of story;
- Read the plot of the book A Little Princess
- Identify the elements of A Little Princess by doing the reading comprehension quizzes: Cloze, True or False and Multiple Choice Questions.

A book review is a form of literary criticism in which a book is merely described (summary review) or analyzed based on content, style, and merit.[1] A book review may be a primary source, opinion piece, summary review or scholarly review.[2] Books can be reviewed for printed periodicals, magazines and newspapers, as school work, or for book web sites on the Internet. A book review's length may vary from a single paragraph to a substantial essay. Such a review may evaluate the book on the basis of personal taste.[1]
