OUR STORY
Nidahas Vidyalaya was founded in 2018: as a Sri Lankan social venture to address the financial, cultural, geographical, political or personal constraints related to learning and training. The solution caters to the needs of three sectors: students, educators and corporates who are interlinked in the learning and training cycle.
OUR VISION & MISSION
Our vision is to remove financial, cultural, geographical, political or personal constraints related to learning and training: from students, educators and corporates, by providing virtual and blended learning solutions.
Our mission is to ease the lives of students, using virtual and blended learning solutions that connect their desktop, smartphone, tablet or any internet compatible device with universities, colleges, academies, schools, individual tutors and corporates: in any major language.
OUR APPROACH
* For Learners
Our approach is to use OER content which will be perused by students in their own pace. Once they are confident with their learning outcomes, they can approach us to assess them. We will assess them using a paid professional either remotely or at a testing centre by means of an online examination. They will affirm that the student has met the learning outcomes and a certificate will be issued by an accredited OER partner sharing our objectives or in the absence by our self. This certificate can be used by the student to pursue higher studies at a partner OER college with credit exemptions. This way they could minimise the cost of higher education for Sri Lankan students. We are also interested in other ways to contribute towards OER based education to minimise costs to students.
