My name is María Flor Palos Guzmán. I majored in ELT the last year. I was so lucky because since I finished my career I started  working in the UAA, in "Fomento al Segundo Idioma" and I'm very pleasured. I also work in the high school Institito de Alta Competitividad "IAC" I have 4 groups. I like my two jobs very much but the thruth is that I enjoy much more working here at Fomento. 

                                                                                                    

                                                                                                     

Education

My elementary school was "Luis Regalado Ceceña", then my secondary school was "Secundaria Técnica # 26" , I really loved my secondary school. Then, my high school was at "Normal de Aguascalientes" and finally I was here at "Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes".

My interests

Well my personal interests are several. For example, listening to music, driving because I really like to drive fast jejeje!!, buying a lot of clothes and shoes because I love them. Also, I would like to know how to cook because I do not know and I feel stressed because of that. It is horrible to know that my mother is an excellent cook and I do not know anything tha'ts embarrassing!!! And at the end I would like to get married, I am not very sure about this but maybe some day.

Professional

Of course I want to continue learning more to become a better teacher, an excellent teacher for my students. I want to have my masters degree and continue studying maybe to have my PhD because nowadays it is very very expensive to have a PhD  but there is the hope!

Personal goals for this semester

Well, my personal goals for this semester is to reinforce my contents for third level. I already gave this level in intensive courses and I liked it very much. So now I can reinforce the contents give them some more material for certain topics that have to be clearer for them. Then, I want to prepare more listening, and speaking activities because students really need it. Also and very important, I'm going to continue attending the workshops we have here at Fomento because they are inteesting and I can learn more, especially talking about technology.

related to pedagogy

I'm interested in discovering new pedagogic techniques to help my students to understand the language better. Sometimes we can know about the language but if we are not prepared about pedagogy, it can be a problem for us as teachers. I'm not in that case thanks God, but I would like to get more knowledge about it.

related to how languages are learned

I'm aware that English is the world language, so I'm interested in learning more about the language because I really want to help my students and not just them but also people in general.

Hello Flor! Notice the edits I made to your user page and how I moved information to your Sandbox. Obviously, if you really want this information in your user page, you can move it back; the point of having a sandbox though is to experiment with WE syntax and use it as a point of reference. Think of a sandbox as a "play area" where you can do whatever you want and you don't have to worry about what it ultimately looks like.
