Professional background

I am a university English as a Foreign Language professor. I have been teaching at the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Litoral in Guayaquil, Ecuador. I am an active member of TESOL, ISTE, the International Development Society (IDS). Before entering teaching I worked for a wholesale distribution company in Mt. View, California.

Education

I have a BSc in Spanish Literature and a Masters in Public Administration. I have also do graduate work in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.

My interests

Professional

I am very interested in developing the use ICTs in English Language Teaching at my university. I also help Teacher Associations around Ecuador with professional development programs.

Personal

My main interests are my grandchildren, travel and reading science fiction.

My optional community service (learning contract) project

Agreement	By signing this optional learning contract I will try to complete my training in basic wiki editing skills to achieve the status of a Wikibuddy. In return for this free training opportunity, I will give the gift of knowledge by donating or developing at least one free content resource licensed under a CC-BY-SA or CC-BY license which can be used by myself (and others) on WikiEducator.
Brief description of project	I will work with the national English Teacher's Association FENAPUPE TESOL-Ecuador in the development of their own wiki site
