The main purpose of my using WikiEducator is to develop a faciliation plan to introduce my colleagues who are developing online papers in Japanese and Chinese, to the various issues to be considered when delivering a fully online paper. Most of my colleagues appear to be focused on the content and the technology; my role is to create an awareness of what it is like to be an online student, and to structure the paper so that the technology we have available is used effectively to create an interactive learning experience. At this stage, I see this learning experience will involve not only the the delivery of language content and interactive activities, but also learning to learn (language learning strategies and online learning strategies) hand in hand with the development of a community of learning (peer support and collaborative learning).
