My profile
Hello: Don Beadle here. Please contact me through dbeadle@uvic.ca. I am interested in many aspects of learning, including the link(s) between teaching, learning, research, coaching, mentoring and collaboration. I hold a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership (2009) from the University of Victoria, in British Columbia, Canada. I enjoy sailing and golf.
Professional background
I have a mixed background. Professionally I am a high school teacher, I have worked in various alternative programs since the late 1980s. This means that I work with learners who have difficulties with the social emotional aspects of their life. For the last five years I have worked to help develop Distributed Learning, on line education in our school, district and province. I hold a Bachelor's Degree (B Ed) and a Graduate Certificate in Special Education from Simon Fraser University, Burnaby BC, Canada, I also have a Masters Degree in Leadership Studies from the University of Victoria. I am intersted in action research, inquiry based learning, accessibility and distributed learning. All of these coalesce nicely in the OERu framework.
