I'm a long time participant in and advocate for free and open source software. I am also increasingly convinced that the confluence of community collaboration embodied by open source software development and education is the the best way to teach and learn, and in turn will lead to untold creativity and innovation. I want to test my theories. I post on my open source work with the OER Foundation, including lots of "howtos". You can also find out more about my background. I participate in lots of distributed social media, especially Mastodon (here and here), but am also (for better or worse) on Twitter.
