Cristina graduated in Architecture at the University Iuav of Venice disserting a thesis on distance learning in applied science. She has worked for several years at the Multimedia Research Lab in Architecture Design at the University Iuav of Venice. From 2000 onwards, she became increasingly involved in national and international projects in the field of technology enhanced learning, geo-information systems, teaching and learning technologies, 3D virtual environments and virtual mobility. As an Open Education enthusiasts, she has coordinated the OportUnidad project (www.oportunidadproject.eu/), an ALFA III action-research project aimed at fostering the adoption of Open Educational Resources and Practices in Latin America. On behalf of SOPHIA, she is now managing the StartUP project (www.startupproject.eu), a Lifelong Learning KA3 project focused on the development of entrepreneurial competences by increasing use of OER and an intelligent training needs assessment.
