wikis can be very useful tools in Knowledge management. An organisation can create a wiki to host policies for staff to quickly refer to them.

In libraries I see several applications of wikis

1. To document operational procedures
2. To document routine tasks for easier staff transfers
3. To play as platforms for library guides
4. To host manual for how to dos for patrons
