What is economics? Economics is a social science which studies the human behaviour in relation to end and scarce means which have alternative uses.Economics is generally divided into two brnaches:

• Microeconomics
  • Studies the economy in the small and looks at individual components of the economy such as individuals, households and markets.

• Macroeconomics
  • Studies the economy in the large and looks at broad aggregates such as total output, inflation and unemployment.
