I have a PhD in Education from the North Eastern Hill University, Shillong and Master degree in Zoology (Punjab University, Chandigarh) and Education (HP University, Shimla). Before joining in my post-doc work at CEMCA in the ROER4D project, I served as a teacher educator and researcher in different teacher training institutions in India.
My M.Phil. research work was on perception of teachers on National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2005 by NCERT. My doctoral work covers emotional intelligence of students of education, and I specialize in research methods and educational technology. I have guided ten students for Master's dissertation on various topics like, Mid-day meal scheme, Science Education, Academic Achievement, Social Intelligence, Emotional Intelligence, Special Education, Teacher Education Curriculum. I have thus gained some field understandings of aspects of socio-educational surveys.
I have been teaching and training students on using computers in designing questionnaires, collection, feeding and analysis of data using MS Excel 2007/2010, and use of Mendeley in Research. I have presented a number of theme and research papers in national seminars in India. I am a life member of North-East India Educational Society. I am looking forward to learning and working on psychological perspectives of OER implementation in educational institutions.
