  • As new sources and data keep generating, history needs to be reinterpreted.Need to fill the gap between text-book knowledge & new information.
  • To enable the learners relate their history to the contemporary occurrences.
  • All current events are history in the making,an insistent history,hence using current events in classrooms help in understanding the process of development and changes in history.
