My Brief Profile
Mr. Aditi Ranjan Rout is Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) in Commerce from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. His area of specialisation is Finance. His thesis Liquidity and Profitability Analysis of STEEL INDUSTRY awarded him M. Phil degree from Utkal University. He has qualified in the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. He has more than 15 years of experience in different educational institutions including formal and open & distance education. The present job profile inter alia includes overall management of the Regional Centre, admissions through online and offline, conduct of examination, evaluation, promotion of open schooling etc. As an academician he has been associated with development of course material of Business Studies for class X and XII for open and distance education learners. This involves identification of courses, development of curriculum, writing, editing and reviewing of self learning course materials both in print and non-print mode. He has various research papers to his credit and prepared different policy documents for his employer. He has attended several workshops and conferences both at National and International level. He is also associated with providing training and orientation through face-to-face and teleconferencing mode. He has trained the senior educators of Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, Trinidad and Tobago, Papua New Guinea, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka under the programme Institute of Educators. He has also prepared the country papers for Ethiopia and Ghana for introduction of Open Schooling System in their country. He is an IT literate and well versed with MS Office, PageMaker, DTP, Designing Advertising copy, Teleconferencing, Design and Development of Digital Content, designing of web page under wikieducator etc. He has attended various IT related workshops and conferences and always strives for the best possible utilisation of available resources. He has attended a five-day workshop on Designing for E-learning at Central Institute of Education (CIE), Delhi University in January 2005. He has participated in the International workshop on Design and Development of Digital Content held at Johannesburg, South Africa in September 2007. He has also attended a workshop for development of Learner Support Guide, held at Johannesburg, South Africa in October 2008. He is a community member of WikiEducator in India. He has attended the workshop for teachers on Open Educational Resources from 9-13 January 2009 at AND College, Delhi University. As an employee of NIOS he has been awarded in the ‘Best Practices in IT’ competition in the year 2007 and 2008. He was associated with the development of Education Helpline – www.sakshat.ac.in of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. This was a one-stop portal for addressing all the education and learning related needs of students, scholars, teachers and life-long learners. |
