Upcoming OER Content Development for Livelihoods: A training workshop for West Africa experts in the Commonwealth and La Francophonie

The Commonwealth of Learning in conjuction with UNESCO and FLOSS4Edu will be organising an OER Content Development for Livelihoods: A training workshop for West Africa experts in the Commonwealth and La Francophonie to be held on the 18th- 29th of June, 2007 at the University of Education, Winneba Ghana.

The participants are expected to come from Benin, Bukinafaso, Cameroon, Code d voir, Gambia, Ghana, Mauritius, Nigeria,Seychelles,Sierra Leone and Togo.

The objectives of this workshop would be:

  1. To introduce participants to content development methodologies in WikiEducator
  2. To build capacity in participants to develop content using Free and Open Source Software technologies
  3. To strengthen the FLOSS4Edu West African Chapter and establish expertise groups willing to collaboratively work together in the development of Open Educational Content.

Participants will be required to possess some basic computer usage skills/competencies to participate in this workshop
