University of Nairobi OER Experience by Geoffrey Kironchi

I coordinate the SAEC-DE project at the University of Nairobi. This is a collaborative project between the UoN, Makerere University in Uganda, and University of Florida and CIAT.

By attending the AOER Wiki Training Workshop, I have gained valuable experience in online open source content development. I have also made acquitance with other participants. But the most valuable lesson I learned was about is the strenght of teamwork in the development of AOERs. I have networked and anticipate to continue talking to partipants of like mind, so that we can form a community of agricultural scientists, for enhancement of our skills so that in the near future we team up to prepare content for Tech-MODE agricultural education and improved livelihoods in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
