Choosing a Format for your Selected Assessment Tasks

Each assessment task lists the formats in which it may be completed. Choose your preferred format from the list within each assessment task.

Blog

Complete your blog of approximately 500 words and publish it on your blog (set up during module one). You are encouraged to tweet a link to your blog at the completion of the task so that your peers can read and learn from your blog.

Video presentation

Make a video presentation of approximately two minutes (please try to keep videos to a maximum of four minutes), and upload the link to your blog. You are encouraged to tweet a link to the video at the completion of the task so that your peers can watch and learn from it.

There are many ways to make and post videos, and students are welcome to choose formats or approaches with which they are familiar. If you are new to this task but would like to give it a try, a helpful step-by-step guide to how to make a video is available here:


Audio presentation

Make an audio presentation of approximately two minutes, and upload the link to your blog. You are encouraged to tweet a link to the audio file at the completion of the task so that your peers can listen and learn from it.

There are many ways to make audio presentations, and students are welcome to choose formats or approaches with which they are familiar. If you are new to this task but would like to give it a try, you can use 'Sound Recorder' (likely to be on your PC) and simply upload the file to your blog, or you can download Audacity, a free programme for creating and editing audio. Powerpoint presentation

Make a Powerpoint presentation and upload it to your blog. You are encouraged to tweet a link to the presentation at the completion of the task so that your peers can watch and learn from it.

Create a Website

Create your own website to complete the task, and upload the link to your blog. There are many options for creating your own website for free on the internet. Weebly is one example. Websites using free website creation tools are encouraged; students will not receive extra marks for using paid options. You are encouraged to tweet a link to the website at the completion of the task so that your peers can explore the website and learn from it.
